MOUNT JOY TOWNSHIP FIREARMS THEFT

State police are investigating the theft of weapons and several
thousand dollars of cash from a residence in Mount Joy Township.
According to Michael A. Gantt, one or more unidentified subjects entered the
residence at 484 Two Taverns Road sometime between 9:30 a.m. Friday April 30th and noon Sunday May 2nd and removed three fire arms and $3,500 in cash.
The suspect or suspects forced a window open at the rear of the residence to
gain entry.  the cash was stolen from a drawer and the firearms were taken
from a gun cabinet.  The weapons taken were described as a Ruger mini 14 223 cal., a Remington 760 30-06 cal., and a 12 gauge pump shotgun.

ARENDTSVILLE INN BURGLARY

State Police are investigating a break-in that occurred at the Arendtsville Inn on Thursday April 22, 2010 between 1:45 and 2:20am.  A hole was cut in a screen to gain access to the building.

Cash and other items were taken.  Desk drawers, refrigerators and coolers were ransacked.

STRABAN TOWNSHIP HIT & RUN ACCIDENT

A reward is being offered for information regarding a hit and run accident that occurred
Saturday April 17, 2010 in Straban Township.
According to State Police Trooper Cpl. James R. Graham, an unidentified driver
operating a vehicle believed to have been a gray Nissan Pathfinder, was
traveling south on Shealer Road around 8:40 p.m. when the driver rear-ended
a 1992 Honda Civic being operated by Justin Pollock, 21, between Hunterstown Road and Route 30.  As Pollock and his passengers attempted to exit the struck vehicle, the
unidentified driver struck the driver side door and fled south on Shealer Road.  Pollock suffered minor injuries, while passenger Theresa Pollack suffered
moderate injuries.  An 11-year-old female passenger was uninjured.

MOUNT JOY TOWNSHIP BURGLARY

A reward is being offered for information regarding a burglary that occurred Thursday April 8, 2010 in Mount Joy Township.  State Trooper George J. Weis reported that one or more unidentified subjects entered a garage in the area of 2750 Taneytown Road around 3:57 a.m. and removed a spare set of vehicle keys and money from inside a vehicle.

JEWELRY STOLEN IN HAMILTON TWP.

Police are investigating the theft of jewelry that occurred Friday April 9, 2010 in
Hamilton Township and a reward has been offered.
According to Trooper Jonathan D. Wolfe, one or more unidentified subjects
entered a residence at 160 Cottage Drive and removed jewelry from the victim’s
bedroom.  The name of the victim was not released.
Police said the suspect or suspects entered the home through the rear door.
