State police are investigating the theft of weapons and several
thousand dollars of cash from a residence in Mount Joy Township.
According to Michael A. Gantt, one or more unidentified subjects entered the
residence at 484 Two Taverns Road sometime between 9:30 a.m. Friday April 30th and noon Sunday May 2nd and removed three fire arms and $3,500 in cash.
The suspect or suspects forced a window open at the rear of the residence to
gain entry. the cash was stolen from a drawer and the firearms were taken
from a gun cabinet. The weapons taken were described as a Ruger mini 14 223 cal., a Remington 760 30-06 cal., and a 12 gauge pump shotgun.
