Carroll Valley Borough Police are continuing to investigate the theft of a pickup truck reported missing in the borough, and a reward has been offered.
Borough police Chief Richard L. Hileman, II reported that owner Michael Smith, 38 Cross View Trail, Carroll Valley Borough, reported October 9 that his 2007 Blue Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was missing.
Smith told police the vehicle had been parked at the residence and he last saw it around September 13th.
The pickup was displaying PA registration YVY2697 at the time of the theft. Smith stated the spare tire was on the right rear and one windshield wiper did not work. Anyone with information should contact Adams County Crime Stoppers by

STRABAN TOWNSHIP BURGLARY

State police are continuing to investigate a burglary that occurred sometime between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 14 and 6:30 a.m.Thursday, October 14  in Straban Township, and a reward has been offered.


Trooper George Ross stated that one or more unidentified subjects broke the front window of Fisher Auto Parts, 975 York Road, using a cinder block and entered the business.


Police reported that the subject or subjects did not remove anything from the building, but did look through the front desk cash drawers, which were empty.

GETTYSBURG BORO RESIDENT ROBBED

A Gettysburg Borough residence was robbed during an early evening hours home invasion and a reward has been offered.
According to Gettysburg Borough Police Sgt. Kevin Wilson, police responded to a residence on Mummasburg Street reported to be the scene of a burglary/robbery.
Police reported the victim stated she was alone in the residence at the time of the incident.
According to the victim, two subjects entered the residence through the back door and demanded money, then went through the house.
Police did not release the name of the victim nor the specific address of the residence involved.
Sgt. Wilson stated that the victim was injured during the incident but did not require medical treatment.
One suspect was described as a white male about 6’ in height with dark hair and a thin to medium build.
The individual was wearing a white t-short and blue jeans.
The second suspect was described as possibly a Hispanic male about 5’10” in height with a thing build, and wearing a blue, hooded sweat shirt and blue jeans.

ATTEMPTED MENALLEN TOWNSHIP BURGLARY

Police are continuing to investigate an attempted burglary that occurred sometime September 10 or 11 in Menallen Township, and a reward has been offered.
According to state Trooper Laythong Manivong, one or more unidentified subjects attempted to break into the residence at 17 Maryland Avenue by prying a door knob unsuccessfully with an unknown tool.
Police only identified the victim of the crime as a 51-year-old female.

ARENDTSVILLE BURGLARY

State police are continuing to investigate a burglary that occurred at an Arendtsville Borough residence Saturday and a reward has been offered.
According to Trooper Derek L. Schrader, one or more unidentified subjects entered the 22 Main St. residence of victim Amanda Crawford, 21, and removed pictures off the refrigerator and took bottles of beer.
The initial police report stated the suspect or suspects took three and 11 bottles of beer.  A subsequent police report stated two photographs and “some alcoholic beverages.”
