LATIMORE TOWNSHIP ATTEMPTED ROBBERY

Police are seeking information regarding an attempted armed robbery that
occurred Tuesday June 1, 2010 in Latimore Township.
According to the Latimore Township Police Department, a male subject entered
the Shell gas station, 250 Ridge Road, Latimore Township, around 11:42 p.m.
and demanded money.  The suspect advised the clerk that he was armed with a gun, which was not
displayed.  The subject left the store without any money, and fled in a vehicle
traveling north on Route 15.  The suspect was described as a black male with a thin build, 5’10” in
height,, wearing a white t-shirt, faded blue jeans, white sneakers, and a
black knit hat with a white rag or bandanna over his face.
The man was also carrying a black plastic trash bag.

MOUNT JOY TOWNSHIP COPPER THEFT

State police are continuing to investigate the theft of copper from the
property of Met-Ed in Mount Joy Township Thursday May 27, 2010.
State Police Trooper Jason A. Weaver reported that one or more unidentified subjects
removed approximately 38 25-foot copper wires from a Met-Ed substation
located along Miller Road sometime between 12:01 and 8:30 a.m.

CUMBERLAND TOWNSHIP BURGLARY

Cumberland Township Police are continuing to investigate a residential burglary that occurred
Friday, May 28, 2010 in Cumberland Township. According to township police, One or more unidentified subjects entered 1159 Taneytown Road by use of force through a side door sometime between 2 and 4p.m.  The suspect or suspects then removed numerous items from the residence.  Police did not provide information regarding the specifics of items taken or the name of the victim.

TRAILWAYS SPEEDWAY ATTEMPTED ROBBERY

State Police are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred Friday May 28, 2010 in Union
Township.  State Trooper Nicholas Bloschichak reported that police responded around 10
p.m. to the Trailways Speedway, 100 Speedway Lane, after a suspect
approached the female victim, who was working at the speedway entrance area
collecting entrance fees, and demanded money.
The victim fled and contacted other  speedway employees who called police.
The suspect fled on foot and has not been located.
The subject was described as a white male in his late 20s, approximately 5’6”
in height, with a large build.  He was wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt and baseball cap.

The State Police Gettysburg are investigating a theft of construction equipment from a construction trailer located at SR 94 and SR 15 southbound, Huntington Twp., Adams County which occurred from 04/23-24/10.
